Kikuno-kai Japanese Dancers: Awa Odori Parade (Japan Cultural Days -culturalsource-)

Awa Odori is Japan’s largest dance festival, traditionally held in August in Tokushima Prefecture. Choreographed dancers and musicians dance, sing and chant as they parade through the streets. In the Rivera Court, the Kikuno-kai dancers, wearing traditional costumes, perform a shortened version of these dances. Audience participation is welcome!
